| Amanda Tupper had no volunteer experience when she began working at Machias Savings Bank, but seeing the impact of MSB's volunteer efforts in the community motivated her to step up. She currently works with Olympia Snowe Women's Leadership Institute, a non-profit that builds confidence, aspirations, and leadership skills of high school girls across Maine. Amanda is an Olympia's Leader Advisor (OLA) and mentors a cohort of four young women at Mt Desert Island High School. "I wish this program had existed when I was a teen," she says. "Having someone to go to who's a leader in the community, who knows who they are, and who can help you — that's super powerful." We couldn't agree more! | | |

First Annual Kickball Tournament to Help End Hunger
| | On Saturday, June 14th, Acadia Federal Credit Union hosted its first annual Kickball Tournament to Help End Hunger at Jalbert Park in Fort Kent. Six teams competed for bragging rights in a fun, family-friendly showdown, raising $1500 for the Campaign to End Hunger in Maine. It came down to a nail-biter final between Acadia FCU and 4D Carpentry, with 4D taking home the big win! | | |
