FAME Senior Commercial Loan Officer, Kim Getchell was recently joined by Alyssa Allen and Nicci Kimball of The First on a field trip to the Boothbay Sea and Science Center (BSSC). Hosts Pauline Dion, BSSC President and Executive Director, and Vice President Eric Graves provided an engaging and informative tour of the Center. During the visit, Pauline and Eric shared the Center’s inspiring origin story, its growth through the years, and their plans for the future. Their infectious passion for marine education and dedication to community engagement were evident throughout the tour.

The center offers hands-on programs that encourage curiosity and exploration of the local marine ecosystem. Through interactive workshops, sailing lessons, and science camps, participants develop a deeper understanding of the ocean’s importance and the need to protect its resources.
