Barbara McLeod- Sales Representative – iPro Realty Ltd., Brokerage
I was born and raised in Nova Scotia, my early careers were in the Advertising Public Relations as Personal Assistants, then I joined a Temporary Employment company as their Office Manager/Sales Associate. After many moves both in Canada and the U.K. I wanted to help people find their perfect home and to make the experience as stress free as possible.

I sell both town and country. I feel very comfortable helping people in all areas – but I do love Dufferin and I feel this area is growing and offering so many things to all wants and needs – from the home in town to the country properties for full-time and weekend retreats.

During his 20+ years of experience in the culinary world, Chef Fred worked for celebrity chef, Michelin Stars restaurant and has over ten years of corporate leadership and even achieved leader of the year as a Ritz Carlton; Chef Frederic Chartier was tired of working for the man. After a successful pilot project, of Freddy’s crepes stand at the Orangeville Farmers Market, Chef Fred expanded the crepe stand into a free standing restaurant to call his own.

Beyond the gate is an eclectic French restaurant open for lunch and dinner, serving assorted crepes and other French delicacies using fresh local ingredients made with love and passion.

2018 Provincial Election
The Dufferin Board of Trade and the entire Ontario Chamber Network, would like to congratulate Sylvia Jones on being
re-elected as our Member of Provincial Parliament in Dufferin-Caledon.

Ontario businesses are the backbone of our economy and communities. Unfortunately, the business community is currently facing economic uncertainty and an increasing regulatory and tax burden. Our province is strongest when business and government work closely together.

During the election season, we led a community-wide discussion around the following four key pillars for growth and economic development under the banner of Vote Prosperity: Strengthen Business Competitiveness, Foster Job Creation, Build Healthy Communities, Improve Government Accountability.

We look forward to continuing to work with Ms. Jones and team in support of a prosperous province as the voice of business in Dufferin.
Canadian Chamber welcomes G7 Communiqué support for open trade

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce welcomes the G7 communiqué’s emphasis on business issues and open trade outlined, and it is greatly disappointed by U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to withhold his support.

Canada’s economic growth requires open trade, starting with a renewed NAFTA. While the Canadian Chamber is pleased to see the G7 communiqué’s emphasis on rules-based trade, we now need concrete action to reduce trade barriers, especially between Canada and the U.S. Unfortunately, the American president’s refusal to support the communiqué and his threats of tariffs that would seriously damage North America’s auto sector mean the U.S., once the key proponent of dismantling obstacles to trade, may be becoming the greatest source of global trade barriers.
