The Social U Focuses on Students' Social Media Posts
The Social U will present an evening program that all Orange School District parents and students are invited to attend in the Orange High School auditorium on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 7 p.m. This program is one of the first technology platforms that scans and grades a student’s social media for the kinds of posts that can give college admissions officers or potential employers pause.

On Friday, September 16, 2016, OHS seniors will participate in a presentation regarding the role social media now plays in the college admissions process. Students will receive a social media report card to assess their “status,” prior to submitting college applications.

School is in Session, Drive Safely
The new school year is underway. This is a friendly reminder to safely share the roads with school buses and watch for children at bus stops and crossing the streets. Please drive safely. Whether children are transported by parents, drive themselves or take the bus to school, it is extremely important that motorists take proper safety precautions. Slow down. Observe the posted speed limits. Avoid distractions, such as phone calls and texting.

Thank you and have a safe school year!
