The SPIFFY Coalition is looking to fund up to three different projects focused on reducing youth substance misuse from August 2023-July 2025 at $12,000-$15,000/year. Ideal projects will place LGBTQ+ youth, youth of color, and those affected by poverty at the center of their work. Learn more via an Application Info slide deck and RFP.

Please come to the ASC Annual Community Cookout on Wednesday, July 12 from 12-3pm at Mill River Recreation Area - located 95 Montague Rd. in Amherst. They will be serving a delicious lunch. Plus there will be pool passes, a DJ, and the Jones Library will share a summer story time. Mark your calendars for summer fun!

Join the Hampshire County Food Policy Council on July 7 from 4 - 8 pm for a summer block party to celebrate its first year! Learn more about the people and projects of the Food Policy Council. The 34th edition of the Annie E. Casey Foundation's KIDS COUNT® Data Book describes how the country’s lack of affordable and accessible child care negatively affects children, families and U.S. businesses. This year’s publication continues to present national and state data across four domains — economic well-being, education, health and family and community — and ranks states in overall child well-being. The report includes pre-pandemic figures as well as more recent statistics. Find it HERE.

The Equity & Inclusion Task Force delivers a comprehensive de-escalation training aimed at promoting understanding, empathy, and effective conflict resolution. This training equips participants with essential skills and strategies to defuse tense situations, foster respectful dialogue, and create a harmonious environment.
