Altona & District Chamber of Commerce Produces 6 Local Business & Organization Videos

Locals STAR in Professional Shop Local Videos

Have you been checking Facebook and Instagram lately? You may have noticed the first of a series of six locally produced videos, arranged by Nicole Schellenberg and filmed and edited by Brad Wiebe Media. The first video featured Furever Friends, YFC The Station and Altona Elks talking about their organizations, their appreciation for community support during the pandemic and their plans moving forward.

The next 5 videos will each feature 3 local businesses thanking you for your support and encouraging all to Support; Shop Local; Shop Altona. Stay tuned.

Also watch for more Shop Local promotions coming in July and August.

Student JobsMB is an easy to use job site targeted at students, and backed by powerful matching technology. Summer is here, so let's get you the workers you need to welcome your customers back.

With Manitoba’s recent move beyond milestone 1 of the provincial economic re-opening path, you may be finding yourself in need of employees, especially if you’re ramping up after public health order closures and in preparation for a busy summer season.

The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce (MCC), in partnership with the Province of Manitoba, is excited to announce the launch of a NEW student jobs platform (studentjobs.mbchamber.mb.ca). It's already live, with a fresh look and feel and easy to use functionality to help you post jobs and manage applications efficiently:

  • An employer dashboard reduces email reliance, and provides quick access to your postings and to applications you’ve received

  • Strong matching intelligence ensures the best-suited candidates are prompted to apply for your job(s)

Creating an employer account and posting a job takes just a few minutes.

STEP 1: Create your business account using just your name and email address. Verify your email.

STEP 2: Select "employer" to create your business profile and fill out required details. Add a logo if you like.

STEP 3: Use drop-downs and check-boxes to quickly create and post new jobs (literally create a listing in just a minute or two!). Postings go live immediately. See how many views your job has received, and review applicants right in your dashboard.

On July 5, we'll begin promoting the platform broadly to alert Manitoba students. Register your organization on the site now, post your jobs, and let’s get you the qualified workers you need to rebuild!
