News You Can Use

     Diana O'Kelly

June 7, 2015

This will be a busy weekend with all these things going on in our area and I hope you join me in utilizing the Recycling Extravaganza at Wauconda Township.  Additionally, there is a Household Chemical Waste Collection  conveniently located at the Wauconda High School.   This is a great opportunity to get rid of all those unneeded things.  If you are over 55, you can take your pets for an affordable vaccination clinic at the Regent Center. I will be there with my dog.   After that I hope to see you at the Beer Festival!

Recycle Sheets, Blankets, Towels, Shoes, Eyeglasses
If you have used towels, sheets or blankets that need to be recycled, please consider bringing them to Fremont Township at 22385 Rt 60, Mundelein to be donated to local Animal Shelters and Rescues.  Please drop them in the bin on the front porch. This keeps them out of the landfill and puts them to good use.

We also accept eye glasses and shoes to be recycled year round.  If you are disposing of shoes that have laces, please tie the laces together. Thanks to our residents, we recycled 1240 pairs of shoes in the last twelve months!
