Greetings!
Welcome to summer!
As we think about what families are experiencing now — and as many more of our “familiar” activities open up — all signs point to the continued need to support people with safe food handling and hand hygiene guidance.
We learned at the May 20 Partner Meeting, in our terrific briefing by the team from Deloitte, that 42% of people say they intend to continue to cook more at home using fresh ingredients.
Research points to people having more confidence in their meal preparation skills, and perhaps, being inclined to treat themselves to finer foods through take-out and delivery options as well.
I’ve been having an interesting few weeks leading the process of consumer and BAC Fighter research/input for developing the new food delivery campaign. It's very clear that adults are motivated to keep their loved ones safe and healthy.
We’ve received important insights from the formative research that we’ll be sharing with Partners in one-on-one calls very soon. We'll also share this information with the audience at the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) conference next month. A conference symposium on July 21, led by our Board Chairman Michael Roberson, will focus on "Where Do We Go Next in Enhancing Consumer Food Safety Education?"
Your investment as PFSE Partners ensures continued important work — such as message review, consumer material refreshment, and formative testing of new food safety education creative — to reach critical target audiences. In order to do these things right, it takes financial support, and we are grateful for how you’ve gotten behind PFSE’s work.
PFSE aspires to be a trusted source for the nation’s health and food safety educators. With your support, we can continue to hold that precious trust.
Thank you for your hard work this past year. Please ensure you get some rest and reprieve in these beautiful, long days of summer.
Thank you,
