Businesses may face new financial challenges from choices the Delaware General Assembly may make this session. Among them are:
- A developing proposal that would require paying for extended leave for more employers than are presently required under the FMLA (headcount is undetermined)
- An increase in the minimum wage to $15 per hour
- Legalization of recreational marijuana
- Higher environmental fees for small businesses like dry cleaners, construction companies, and more
