But Thou, O Lord!!! 10/26/25
Psalm 3 (KJV 1900)
A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.
1Lord, How are they increased that trouble me! Many are they that rise up against me.
2Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; My glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4I cried unto the Lord with my voice, And he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
5I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.
6I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, That have set themselves against me round about.
7Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: For thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; Thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: Thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
After ANOTHER sleepless night, I AWOKE (PRAISE THE LORD THAT I AND MY PRECIOUS FAMILY ALOS AWOKE!!!!!!!) this morning-not wanting to awake and face the day.
No matter how BLESSED we ALL are, there is ALWAYS “something” that causes us pain and is seemingly IMPOSSIBLE to FIX or alleviate!!!! AMEN!!??
ALWAYS SOMETHIN'!!!!!
I have learned that no matter how great or good life can be sometimes, satan never/NEVER gives up- satan is DETERMINED TO GET HIS MORSAL OF FLESH!!
Just when God does ANOTHER miracle in our lives-job, family, health, wealth, marriage, KIDS, etc.- satan attacks us in our weak and unguarded areas of our personal lives.
Romans 7:21–23 (KJV 1900)
21I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Oftentimes, I (perhaps YOU??) go to bed tired and DEFEATED. It “seems” that no matter how hard I try and PRAY nothing changes-nothing gets better???????
Do YOU ever feel like, “What's the use????”
I GIVE UP!!!
Maybe I should just “accept the inevitable????”
BUT THEN COME THE MORNING!!!
Psalm 30:5 (KJV 1900)
5For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
When I AWOKE, (see the above!)-the first thing I read was a post from my beloved friend, Pastor Bill. He wrote about the above Psalm 3-a longtime FAVORITE of mine.
David wrote this Psalm as one of the worst attacks of the enemy often is by our own BELOVED family-the ones closest to EACH of our individual hearts!!!!
King David's own son had rebelled against his father and stolen David's rightful crown!!
The one Verse I want to focus on is:
Psalm 3:2 (KJV 1900)
2Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
“MANY there be which SAY of MY soul...”
(Your soul and mine-take this PERSONALLY!!!!)
MANY, including our very own close loved ones and friends ARE advising” us to simply CAVE/QUIT/GIVE UP!!!
QUIT PRAYING/QUIT WHINING/QUIT HOPING.........................
“MANY ARE THEY THAT SAY OF MY SOUL............................................”
Now here this, beloved!!!!
THEY say/ the devil says:
“THERE IS NO HELP FOR THEM (you and me-take this PERSONALLY!!!”
“THERE IS NO HELP FOR THEM IN GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Beloved, that is a dtraight out LIE from the devil-it matters not who or whom says that toy YOU and me!!!
THERE IS HELP IN GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Psalm 3:3 (KJV 1900)
3But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; My glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
Today repeat with me, repeat with the Psalmist....
Today, BELIEVE WITH ME......
“BUT THOU O LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's all we need!!!!
BUT THOU O LORD, ART A SHIE FOR ME!!! FOR ME!!!! FOR YOU!!!
Now read the last part of this Psalm:

NUFF SAID!!!! DO YOU GET THE PICTURE/IDEA???????????????
“MEN OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY.........................
AND NOT TO FAINT!!! (lose courage or hope-TO GIVE UP!!!!!)
