Butte County Mayors Support Republican Coolidge for Assembly
The Mayors of Paradise, Biggs and Gridley have endorsed Andrew Coolidge, Republican for California State Assembly District #3.
Paradise Mayor Steve Crowder (dual endorsement), Biggs Mayor Bo Sheppard, and Gridley Mayor Mike Farr have all formally endorsed Andrew for the position.
Andrew Coolidge, a rare two-term conservative Mayor (four years) and former councilmember (four years) for the City of Chico, recently announced his run for Assembly.
Coolidge is a lifelong resident of the district, born and raised in the Yuba-Sutter area before moving to Chico to attend California State University, Chico. In addition to serving on the Chico City Council and running a successful NorCal business for the last 32 years, Coolidge has also contributed to the community through his involvement with various boards and organizations including the following:
- Finance Committee Member, Chico City Council
- Internal Affairs Committee Chair, Chico City Council
- Past Sponsorship Coordinator, Yuba-Sutter Fair (9 years)
- Past Sponsorship Coordinator, Silver Dollar Fair (5 years)
- Past Board Member, Butte County Fair
- Chair, Eagle Scout Board of Review, Buttes Area Council, Yuba-Sutter
- Board Member, Boy Scouts of America, Buttes Area Council, Yuba-Sutter
- Former Member, Yuba County Republican Central Committee
- PTA President and Board Member, Chico Country Day School (Charter School)
- Co-founder, with Jody Sodaro, of Peach Festival in Marysville
