The Butterflies Are Back! |
The FREE Oak Grove Butterfly Festival is one of the most popular events in the region and it is coming back THIS Saturday! This year’s stage show will be the Dominguez Attractions featuring “The Globe of Death”. This show is an extremely fast, death-defying act to excite the whole crowd. Other shows performed by this multi-talented family include magical illusion, stunt dogs, balancing acts, and MORE! Come out and enjoy the ever-so-popular zip-line by Southern Zip-Line Company. They will have your legs dangling and your heart thumping. There will be arts & crafts, face painting, a balloon artist, a photo booth, the bubble zone, and more for the whole family. All activities are completely free! No cost for admission or parking. When you get hungry you can purchase food from one of the food trucks parked on site.
Come and interact with live butterflies in the Butterfly House provided by Milkweed & Honey Farm out of Clarksville, TN. See live cocoons, caterpillars, and butterflies!
This festival is one of a kind and is sure to take your breath away with the beautiful live release of 1600 butterflies at 4pm on the Viceroy berm.

Mark your calendars! We hope to see you for a fun-filled, family-friendly day Saturday, September 11th! The downtown Princeton Kentucky area will be blocked off for a Street Fair featuring all different kinds of vendors and activities for all ages. Friday night will be the First Responder showcase at 4 and the parade starting at 5. Activities will start Saturday with a pancake breakfast at 7 am and end with a FREE concert in the evening.

UK Football returns to the airwaves this Saturday, as the Cats kick off with a home opener against the University of Louisiana Monroe. Airtime is 9 this Saturday morning on 106.5 "DOUBLE U-K" D-Z! Don't forget high school football continues this Friday night as Trigg County travels to Murray. Coverage begins Friday night at 6 with "Your Sports Edge Football Friday" powered by Hopkinsville Community College on 106.5 WKDZ. Scott Brown re-caps all the regional high school action on Saturday morning, immediately following your 8 am News Edge with Your Sports Edge Saturday.
WPKY will have live coverage of the Caldwell County Tigers as they take on Hopkinsville at the Stadium of Champions. Coverage begins around 5:30 Friday night with "Your Sports Edge Football Friday," powered by Hopkinsville Community College. Also, Todd Griffin will have a recap of the game Saturday morning at 9 with the QB Show on 1580/103.3 WPKY.
Meanwhile, the Titans finish pre-season at 2-1. They'll be making necessary roster cuts and be ready to open the NFL season against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, September 12th. Coverage begins at 11 Sunday morning the 12th on 106.5 WKDZ.
