Your act of generosity , our longevity
Buyamba founder, Pastor Bethuel Dongo, had faith that God would provide. So much faith, that his dreams for God Cares Schools were so big that if God was not in them, they would not come to fruition. Not only did he dream big, but he planned big. As a result, he left a legacy of love, hope and a future for his family and for the children of Uganda.
Buyamba is now making it possible for you to learn about the planning tools you need to plan a legacy that can continue to impact. We don’t claim to be experts in wills, trusts, and financial planning, but we can help equip you with the knowledge you will need to have an informed conversation with a professional. If you want to learn about these matters on your own time and in a no pressure environment, then visit We hope you find it helpful.

My name is Tendo Jackline. I'm 23 years old, and I graduated this August from Africa Renewal University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration specializing in accounting and finance. I joined God Cares Schools under the Buyamba Uganda ministry in 2005, and I'm thankful for their support beginning in primary school all the way through university!

My father passed away when I was young, so I grew up with my mom and siblings. My mom used to sell charcoal to take care of us. My siblings and I had no hope of going to school until the day Pastor Bethuel Dongo accepted us all to join God Cares Primary School. He was so kind that he gave me everything that I needed to go to school and he always encouraged me to study hard. It was great being at school because I lacked nothing … unlike when I went back home, we had nothing to eat at all.

Every year the Buyamba office takes a team to Uganda where we visit God Cares Primary School, God Cares High School, various students' homes, the Dongo Farm and Kabalagala Pentecostal Church. This trip is for new Buyamba friends and long time partners. It's a different team every time and the experience is unforgettable.

To sign up for future updates, find more information, and to see videos from past trips, visit our website on our Mission Trip Page.

The next trip is scheduled for February 15 - 25, 2019.
If you are interested in joining this trip, or our trip in July, please reply to this email or email Melissa Carlson

The first meeting for the February trip will be held November 6, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. at the Buyamba Office in Westlake Village. If you don't live in California, don't let that stop you, for the Buyamba Team transcends state boundaries. We will work with you to equip you to be part of the team that will venture out together to make an impact on the ground in Uganda.

Prayer Requests
Please pray for provision as we raise funds to build the much needed High School Dorms.
Pray that God would raise up a willing mission team from the states, and the funds needed, to do a bible camp specifically for the S1-S3 students at God Cares High School.
