DID YOU KNOW?
Dungeness crab season is finally here! đŚ While it wasn't open in time for traditional holiday or New Year's Eve festivities, you can finally tuck into some succulent crustacean goodness. Here's a list of 24 local restaurants that are serving it forth right now.
New year, new to-do list. From catching a concert in a converted mortuary, touring a Painted Lady, and riding the longest escalator west of the Mississippi, you'll never be bored this year with this list of 23 San Francisco things to do in 2023.
At long last, SF Muni's Central Subway is fully open, with the T-Third light rail line now running contiguously from Sunnydale in the south all the way up to Rose Pak Station in Chinatown. Ground broke on the project way back in 2010, so it's very exciting to see this come to fruition. Have you ridden it yet? We can't wait.
Looking to add a little color to your home? Pantone's 2023 Color of the Year is Viva Magenta 18-1750, an eye-popping hot pink. If that's a little too assertive for your tastes, paint companies have their own thoughts on what colors will trend this year. Several fall into similar warm tones, from dusky pinks to a bold orange-pink, while others lean back into neutrals and cool blue-greys. Design tip: If you do opt for a bold color, consider pairing it with a playfully patterned wallpaper to break it up a bit. We had lots to celebrate in 2022. For starters, we got a pleasant surprise in June when we learned we made the RealTrends Americaâs Best Real Estate Professionals, honoring the top 1.49% of real estate agents and teams. Whatâs more, we retained our position in the top 10% of agents and teams in San Francisco.
Weâve entered 2023 newly energized and ready to take the market by storm. Are you thinking about buying or selling this year? Weâre here to help.
| January 2023 Market Report | Buyers take note: A number of economic factors â especially inflation and interest rates, and financial markets â have caused substantial declines in virtually all the standard measurements of buyer demand. The upside is that some buyers are making the best deals in years. Our buyers had been looking off and on all year long, seriously hunting but having fun shopping all along. They've watched the market change dramatically from early spring to end of the year, and as prices fell and competition lessened, they saw opportunity.
They had their hearts set on the Inner Mission. Three bedrooms and two baths were the minimum requirement, and outdoor space was important for them â and their adorable dog.
Third time was the charm. After bidding and missing on two other properties, they kept trying, and ultimately landed this tremendous 5BR/2BA TIC with bonus areas, not just one but two exclusive use decks, and a garage. They couldnât be more thrilled, having got everything on their wish list and so much more. Just goes to show, patience and perseverance do in fact pay off.
| Prequalified vs. Preapproved vs. Fully Underwritten | The mortgage process can be confusing and intimidating, starting with the language. You may have heard certain terms bandied about, specifically prequalificated, preapproved, and fully underwritten. Each of these means different things in the lending approval process, and impact your position as a prospective buyer. So whatâs the difference? | â
