Ho Ho Holidays are here! 'tis the season to be thankful, and the Buzz is very grateful for all of you!

Readers are buzzing about The Secret Sauce Thai Kitchen, and with good reason! This will definitely become a new Buzz favorite - tried several apps and soups and YOWZA! Everything was amazing. Seriously. Could not have been happier. Even the peach iced tea was fabulous. Located in the former Minh's Bistro space next to Rosenfeld's. (Check hours carefully - they close for a break mid-afternoon).

Fan of falafel? That Middle Eastern orb of deliciousness made from chickpeas flavored with cumin and coriander and other good things? Two of my foodie friends told the Buzz to check out the Kabab Falafel Addiction next to Starbucks on Coastal Highway. If you make it there before I do, let me know how it goes!

The restaurant space next to Coastal Taproom is now Henlopen Pizza Kitchen (thank you Rehoboth Foodie). According to an article in the Cape Gazette, they are open seven days a week offering pizza (whole or by the slice), wings, sandwiches and salads.

Fall is foodie season at the beach! To keep business booming, restaurant are offering spectacular specials; the Buzz doesn't plan on cooking till spring.

Above the Dunes (best view at the beach!) offers a happy hour EVERY DAY from 3-6 pm with $1 oysters.

Starting Nov 24, Bodhi Kitchen will be open for lunch, Fridays and Saturdays from 11-4.

On Wednesday nights, Summer House offers a $12 Grilled Cheese & Soup menu and HALF PRICE specialty martinis.

Monday night sushi has returned to the Cultured Pearl. Miso soup, edamame and three rolls – all for just $19.

Get 25% off your check at Matt’s Fish Camp in Bethany Beach (Mondays), Catch 54 (Tuesdays), Bluecoast in Bethany Beach and Matt’s Fish Camp Fenwick (Wednesdays), and Crust & Craft (Thursdays). If you like a little heat, get the Tempura Cauliflower at Crust & Craft. It's a religious experience.

If you follow the Pines on Instagram, you've probably drooled on your keyboard more than once. New Chef Kyle has created a rotating menu of small plates for Wednesday’s Bistro and Burger Nights that look like a Bon Appetit magazine spread. LOVE this town!

Iced Café Olé is one of the new beverages on Grotto Pizza’s cocktail list. It includes Cazadores Café, a coffee liqueur with 100% agave tequila, Kahlua and milk. The Buzz needs this. Grotto’s new seasonal menu also features a Mexican Street Corn Pizza with roasted corn, peppers and onions marinated in a creamy chipotle sauce. It’s topped with a blend of cotija and Grotto pizza cheese. Oh my!

The Starboard Claw in Dewey plans to be open year-round and will feature a number of weeknight specials in addition to steamed to order crabs. A mocktail menu is also in the works. Haven't been but perused the menu and whoa! Ale Battered Crispy Delicata Squash Rings? How interesting is that? But they had the Buzz at Pear & Gorgonzola salad...

Dec 2 is the Second Annual Rehoboth Beach Santa Bar Crawl - a charity event that collects new, unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots Foundation. There is nothing like seeing hundreds of Santas, Mrs. Santas and elves partying all over town. Donation boxes will be at every participating bar (16 at last count) – so come join the fun!

Dec 2 is also the Holiday House Tour of Lewes and the Holiday Village and Market and the 91st Annual Lewes Christmas Parade

Dec 16 - Jimmie Allen’s Christmas Concert to benefit the Sussex Consortium. The show at the Rudder is sold out, but as of this writing, Bottle & Cork still had tix available.

Then join Maribeth Fischer, Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild Founder and Executive Director, as she chats with novelist Lauren Grodstein about her newly released novel, We Must Not Think of Ourselves, as well as the process of becoming an author. Fur Baby Pet Resort of Milford will open a holiday shop in Tanger Seaside.

The Farmacy Market, offering fresh & fine foods and gourmet kitchen supplies, will open later this month in downtown Milford.

"Starbucks, but healthy," is how the owners of the new Turtley Awesome Nutrition describe their new store on Route 1. Robbie Vogl and Renada L'Italien, both personal trainers and wellness coaches, offer 34 different smoothies and six varieties of coffee as well as energy mocktails.

With the Georgetown location finally open, Revelation is now rocking the sales and events. Nov 22 is the Mixed Case Sale for $60. Dec 16 is the Ugly Sweater Contest at both the Rehoboth and GTown locations. Winner wins a $25 gift card!

The Millsboro location of Nectar should open late this month or early December. Can't wait! You can still enjoy breakfast all day and lunch from 11-3 at the Lewes location.

Eggcellent in Rehoboth now has their liquor license so you can enjoy a mimosa with that crab, Swiss & asparagus omelet.

The Milton Theatre has released tickets for more than fifty shows coming in the Spring of 2024.

Parish Thrift opened in the former Beebe Thrift space at Midway. It's a large, lovely space and the glassware has proved to be a repeat temptation... just sayin'.

Birdie's Links & Drinks will open late this year in Middletown. It's a 20,000 sf indoor entertainment center with two 18-hole mini golf courses, eight simulator bays, and a bar/restaurant.

The Humane Animal Partners, located in Midway Plaza, (formerly the Delaware Humane Association) will gladly accept pet medications no longer needed.

A year ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, had surgery and am now cancer free. Here’s what I’ve learned since, which blows my mind. Did you know Matthew Perry was part of the grand opening of Tanger Outlets back in 1995? He was 26 at the time. "Friends" had just finished its first season and 3,000 people showed up to meet him.
