Goldberry Books has teamed up with Cabarrus Brewing Co to host an evening with award-winning NC author David Joy on August 26th from 6:30-8:30pm.

David Joy is a Southern Appalachian native whose novels straddle the line between literary fiction and gripping crime tales. Joy's distinguished works include the Edgar Award-nominated Where All Light Tends To Go, The Weight Of This World, The Line That Held Us, and When These Mountains Burn.

• His novel Where All Light Tends to Go was made into the film Devil’s Peak in 2023 directed by Ben Young and starring Billy Bob Thornton and Robin Wright.
