Solutions, New Hope Medical Clinic, Plano Vision Clinic, Pass-It-On Academy, Something Good in Englewood, & Basketball by Blue..

Greetings!
Welcome to 2021! Because of you, our faithful donors, we are able to begin another year serving the LORD WE LOVE! The Lord provided the $100,000.00 we were praying that HE would provide. $45,000.00 came from you, our faithful and dedicated donors, and the balance came from a generous grant from the Greater Chicago Food Depository. We still ended up a little short of what we needed to end 2020 in the black, because some of the monies from the GCFD were earmarked for specific uses.
This is not the first time in our history that at the end the year we were in the red, and we doubt it will be the last. That’s why we are constantly applying for grants, seeking corporate sponsors, and always leaning on you – our dedicated friends that have been supporting Shepherd’s Hope, bringing it to what it is today.

We have prayed and planned for 2021 after dealing with the hurdles of the 2020 pandemic. We believe the Lord is going to provide the extra resources we will need to launch 2 new initiatives for 2021!

These initiatives are designed to make Englewood
a more cohesive community, by bringing everyone together in solidarity.
· FRIDAY NIGHT LIFE
o Keeping youth and teenagers off the streets, to help them grow, as they listen and learn through the information presented at each event
· HEALING ENGLEWOOD
This initiative – HEALING ENGLEWOOD, is the most powerful. The first being of great value to the last because without the first initiative being successful, HEALING ENGLEWOOD will be a pipe dream.
We are going to focus on FRIDAY NIGHT LIFE in the beginning of 2021, and if it is well received, we will then start focusing on HEALING ENGLEWOOD. (For more information on HEALING ENGLEWOOD – (click here.)

My prayer is that we can bring both
of these 2 initiatives to fruition in 2021.

Our vision when we came to Englewood 13 years ago was to feed the widows, orphans, & the homeless, while building relationships and trust with each of them, so that one day by God’s grace we could walk them into the light of being able to provide for themselves. Our goal was never to feed more people. We were hoping we were going to be the ministry that would be there to get them through the hard times. However, the hard times keep lingering, adding more people needing our support.
But, one afternoon, after talking to a gentleman (whom we served for years), I asked him “why are you always smiling? I see so many more like you.” He replied “if we are doing anything else, but smiling, we do not appreciate what the Lord has done for us by bringing a place like THE CENTER to our community. I smile just thinking about what this place has done for me.” As I went through the rest of my day, I couldn’t stop thinking about this man and his attitude of gratitude. This gentleman made me grateful to the Lord for taking me along with HIM on this journey. It made me realize how much I take for granted. AMEN!!

Remember, the devil’s minions are attacking Shepherd’s Hope every day, and sometimes multiple times a day. Even though I feel that the evil one has the upper hand at the moment, he is feeling the effects of what is taking place at The Center of Englewood.
Where good prevails, evil will soon be eliminated.
