LE 22ième GALA DES PRIX D’EXCELLENCE DE L’ICCA QUÉBEC - C’ÉTAIT UN ÉVÉNEMENT ÉTONNANT |

Jeudi, le 27 octobre 2022, l'Institut canadien de la construction en acier (CISC-ICCA) de la région du Québec a célébré le 22e anniversaire des Prix d’excellence de la construction en acier, au Centre de congrès Palace, offrant un cocktail de bienvenue et un buffet gastronomique, devant une salle comble.
La soirée était animée par Stéphane Bélanger ; drôle, percutant, impressionnant et extravagant ! Le thème du 22e anniversaire était "L’ICCA EST LE LIEN QUI UNIT L’INDUSTRIE DE L’ACIERʺ, Illustrant le leadership et la contribution de l’industrie de l’acier à l’économie québécoise et canadienne ainsi que son empreinte nord-américaine. L’industrie québécoise de l’acier est une industrie dynamique, véritable moteur d’innovation, de création d’emplois et de croissance économique au Québec.
Les prix d’excellence de l’ICCA pour la construction en acier est un évènement phare et prestigieux. Les équipes sont récompensées pour la réalisation de leurs projets exceptionnels en acier, mettant en valeur la complexité, l’innovation, la beauté, l’unicité et l’originalité, parmi de nombreux autres attributs. L’événement a souligné des projets étonnants qui témoignent de la beauté, de la résilience et de la durabilité de l’acier, prouvant ainsi les avantages du choix de l’acier.
Ed Whalen, Le Président de L’ICCA, Dre Hellen Christodoulou, Directrice Développement des marchés et de l’industrie de l’acier et M. David Drouin, Vice-Président du Groupe Camnor, chairman du comité régional et M. Luc St-Pierre Directeur régional des ventes du Groupe Canam, le commanditaire de l'acier de l'événement, ont adressé leur message d'accueil aux participants.
Les équipes québécoises ont été récompensées pour leurs réalisations exceptionnelles en acier, présentant des projets de construction en acier complexes et novateurs par leur beauté, leur unicité et leur originalité. Chaque année, des professionnels et des leaders dans le domaine de la construction en acier soumettent leurs projets. Cette année parmi les candidats 48 finalistes ont été choisis.
Le distingué jury a sélectionné les lauréats dans chacune des 9 catégories.

Des magnifiques vidéos des 9 catégories ont été diffusées au cours de la soirée, annonçant chacun des gagnants à la fin de chaque présentation. Des plaques ont été présentées aux équipes gagnantes, en guise de félicitations et de reconnaissance de la part de l'industrie.

On Thursday, October 27, 2022, the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC-ICCA) Quebec Region celebrated the 22nd anniversary of the Steel Construction Awards of Excellence, at the Palace Convention Center, offering a welcome cocktail and a gourmet buffet, to a full house of guests.
The evening was hosted by Stéphane Bélanger; funny, impactful, impressive, and extravagant! The theme for the 22nd anniversary was "THE CISC IS THE LINK THAT UNITES THE STEEL INDUSTRY", illustrating the leadership and contribution of the steel industry to the Quebec and Canadian economy as well as its North American footprint. The Quebec steel industry is a dynamic industry, a real driver of innovation, job creation and economic growth in Quebec.
The CISC Awards for Excellence in Steel Construction is a signature and prestigious event. Teams are rewarded for delivering their exceptional steel projects, showcasing complexity, innovation, beauty, uniqueness, and originality, among many other attributes.
The event highlighted amazing projects that demonstrate the beauty, resilience, and durability of steel, proving the benefits of choosing steel.
Ed Whalen, President of the CISC, Dr. Hellen Christodoulou, Director of Steel Industry and Market Development, Mr. David Drouin, Vice-President of the Camnor Group, chairman of the regional committee and Mr. Luc St- Pierre Regional Sales Manager of the Canam Group, the steel sponsor of the event, addressed their welcome messages to the participants.
Quebec teams were rewarded for their exceptional achievements in steel, presenting complex and innovative steel construction projects through their beauty, uniqueness, and originality. Each year, professionals, and leaders in the field of steel construction submit their projects. This year among the candidates 48 finalists were chosen.

The Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) Quebec Region presented a Heritage Award to Benoit Drouin, in recognition of his contribution to the success of the steel industry. During all these years, he provided determined leadership with passion. Benoit left an empty place with the steel industry, a great brand and above all great values. Annie Cadieux, General Manager - Quebec Region of Leroux Steel - Heritage Award Sponsors presented the commemorative plaque to the sons of Benoit Drouin, David, and Jean-René Drouin.
