Dear families and friends of C.A.M.P.,
We know you’re as excited as we are for C.A.M.P. to open! While we had hoped to launch our program this week, there are a few more steps that we’re waiting on as we finalize licensure for this new endeavor.
In the meantime, staff have been trained, classrooms have been readied, and we are ready to open our doors as soon as we get the green light from our licensing body. With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that pre-registration is now open! We are ready to start preparing for our first groups of C.A.M.P.ers: developing group schedules to fit your schoolwork, decorating C.A.M.P.er’s personalized learning stations, and getting ready to meet you at Claggett.
Because of our uncertain timeline, registration looks a little bit different than it usually would:
- Until our opening date is announced, no deposit is required to hold a space for your child. After opening is finalized, a two-week deposit or an approved scholarship request form is necessary to confirm your child’s registration.
- If you’d prefer to make a deposit at the time of pre-registration, all payments will be fully refundable until our opening date is confirmed. You will be notified at that time; deposits will become non-refundable 24 hours after the opening date is announced.
- If you choose to pre-register without a deposit, an announcement will be sent prompting payment at the appropriate time. Deposits must be made within 24 hours of that announcement to guarantee your C.A.M.P.er’s space.
- Program costs for the semester will be updated on our registration portal to reflect the number of weeks C.A.M.P. runs. Weekly payments will remain the same: $350 “true cost” rate or $300 subsidized rate (details below).
Please allow up to eight hours for your pre-registration confirmation email to arrive.
If you are placed on the waiting list, don’t fret! We will be adding learning groups throughout the fall based on demand.
Full and partial scholarships are available. To learn more, please contact me directly. Our goal is to make C.A.M.P. accessible to as many Frederick County students as we can, and we will work with you to the best of our ability.
My staff and I can’t wait to meet you and your C.A.M.P.ers soon! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Best,
Rita Yoe
Program Director
