The Board of Trustees approved Ms. Karen Miller-Kopp as the new Principal at Fannin Elementary. The hire was made following the current Principal Diane Acock's announcement to retire after 26 years at Corsicana ISD. Kopp is currently the Principal at ShadowGlen Elementary School at Manor ISD, where she has been since 2015. To read more, please

Congratulations to Senior Neva Johnson, who represented the
CHS Art
Department on Saturday, April 29 at the State V.A.S.E. competition in San Antonio, Texas. Neva was a medalist, receiving a score of a "4" on her artwork, which is the second highest honor in the state-wide competition.

Derrick Days Parade - #TCC!

Mariah Lee, Melvin Martin, Caleb Johnson, JaMicah Polk, Derrion Nathan, DJ Jones, Adonte Blair, Zantyler Foster-Hooks, John Woods, Blake Hoffman, and D'quan Coleman recently competed at the Region III track meet in Humble.
The boys 4x100 meter relay team advanced and
will compete this weekend at STATE!

Another successful year and successful performances by the Calicos at their Spring Show! These young ladies, Director Brittany Lassiter and Assistant Director, Traycie Griggs, work hard to make the finale event both entertaining and meaningful.

CHS Yearbook Chosen for "Gallery of Excellence"

The 101st edition of the Corsican was chosen for the "Gallery of Excellence" by yearbook publisher, Walsworth.
Of the 7,000 yearbooks produced each year, only 100 are selected for this honor.

Derek Nutt competed at the state level in the Texas Citizenship Bee
hosted by the State of
Texas Bar Association in Austin. Derek advanced to State by winning the regional contest in Waco back in March. He finished in the top 10 out of 20 contestants. Derek is graduating CHS in a few weeks, finishing high school in only three years. He is considering a scholarship offer to the University of Georgia. His future is bright!
