  • Want to unload some old but clean T-shirts? Karen reports that Aktion Club is collecting them and making dog toys out of them. Bring them in and Karen will make the delivery.  
  • The Fort Myers Beach Chamber Bowling Social is July 18. Anyone interested? It's 4pm-9pm. Team entry for 5 is $75. Food, drinks and prizes. 
  • All the dining books we printed are out. Please bring back those you were unable to sell so we can offer them to others. 
  • DCON registration is open. Our state convention is August 15-18 in Orlando. Let Rachel know if you are interested in attending. We can also have up to 3 delegates represent our club.

                       Ronald McDonald House- "Cooks in the Kitchen"  June 12


Thanks for preparing another fabulous meal for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

This is a service project our club does 4 times over the summer. 

MS Support Group - (Bill Grant), meets 3rd Thursday of each month at St. Hilary Episcopal Church. Please consider attending a meeting and learn about this project so we'll have more 
back up volunteers. See Liz Ross over the summer months.

Aktion Club- (Karen Hurst) at LARC. Meets 2nd Tuesday at 8:30am, year-round.

                 Today's Program: Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife

Today our speakers were Alison Hussey, Exec. Director and Rachel Rainbolt, Outreach Director. CROW is a teaching hospital and a visitor center dedicated to saving wildlife through state-of-the-art veterinary care, research, education and conservation medicine. They are a 501(c)(3) and open 365 days a year. They have public programs for kids, daily presentations, outreach programs and more. If you find an animal in need of help, please call CROW's wildlife hospital at 239-472-3644, ext 222. If you are unable to bring the animal to CROW on Sanibel, there are 9 drop off sites locally where injured wildlife can be dropped off and they will pick them up. For more information visit
