C-V2X RSU Program Launched, New Board Members and Technical Roadmap

OmniAir Launches Certification for C-V2X RSUs

OmniAir Consortium®, the leading industry association promoting interoperability and conformance for ITS, tolling, and connected vehicles, has published a new certification program for Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) based roadside units (RSU). This new release is updated to reference new industry standards for RSUs.

OmniAir® is now accepting applications for our independent third-party testing verification program that assesses minimum performance, interoperability, and security of wireless communication technologies used in ground transportation used in connected intersections.

OmniAir Elects New Directors and Officers

OmniAir Consortium® has elected two directors and an officer, to fill vacancies created by retiring directors.

Vince Park, Sr. Director of Standards for Qualcomm and Jacob Harel, Sr. Principal Engineer for HARMAN International, have been elected to serve on OmniAir's Board of Directors.

In addition, Jeff Dailey, Assistant Executive Director of Operations of the North Texas Tollway Authority, has been elected as Treasurer for OmniAir Consortium. Jeff has served as an OmniAir Director for several years and serves as a Member of the Executive Committee.

OmniAir's Releases Five-Year Technical Roadmap

OmniAir® has published its technical roadmap to guide the organization’s workstream on conformance and interoperability testing programs over the next five years.

The OmniAir Technical Roadmap identifies priorities for developing program scopes, drafting test cases, and other technical work to support OmniAir’s testing and certification programs for wireless communications technologies in transportation.

Our guest presenter will be Brian Romansky, Connected Vehicle Security and Product Innovation Executive at INTEGRITY Security Services, and Chair of OmniAir's Cybersecurity Working Group.

This presentation will examine cybersecurity considerations for electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Brian will offer a comparison of security and privacy in Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) with other Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) applications.
