CEO Academy panelists deliver a 3 minute presentation integrating Key Priorities of Focus within their local context for the webinar theme and questions. Optional: 5 slides (max)

The Key Priorities from the Pandemic Playbook cited above arose from CEO Academy Network inquiry that occurred during the Spring of 2020. These priorities have continued to support CEO Academy leader confidence and coherence through the fall, evolving the predominate themes featured in these C21 Canada 10th Anniversary webinars.

We are pleased to welcome CEO Academy Alumni, lending their valued leader perspectives in elevating discussion, deepen thinking, facilitating coherence, and inspiring further inquiry.

Within the perils of pandemic, CEO Academy members report benefits from many unexpected shifts. Pandemic needs for cohorts and schedule changes along with an infusion of technology has created a unique opportunity to examine high school pedagogy.

1. What pandemic opportunities have occurred in high school/secondary program models that encourage a deeper look at pedagogy?

2. What challenges or barriers need to be overcome to further implementation?

VIP Moderator Chris Smeaton is a founding member of the CEO Academy, recently retired from Holy Spirit Catholic School Division in Alberta. COVID has amplified inequities that undermine teaching and illuminated systemic blindspots that disadvantage learning. CEO Academy leaders discuss insights and action to shift mindsets and lead with diversity.

1. What sorts of initiatives/policies are in place to address systemic bias and discrimination and what strengths and weakness are evident in these.

2. What kinds of action are needed in the shifting culture for stakeholders?

VIP Moderator Laura Elliott, founding member of the CEO Academy, and recently retired from Thames Valley District School Board, continues to serve executive roles on the Ontario Tech University Board of Governors, CODE, PCODE, and OPSOA. She recently led the development of a new and innovative equity, anti-racism, anti-oppression Supervisory Officer's Qualification Program.
