Thank you to everyone that joined us at our Leaders Boardroom in Swindon kindly hosted by Excalibur & Good Energy. We had a fantastic discussion around employee engagement. Thanks to everyone that came to the website workshop at Brace with Mike Kilcooley talking about getting the best use of video; our B Corp workshop with Paul Hargreaves provided an insight into a different approach to business and our Exec Development workshop on What's Hot in Marketing with Darren Stevens gave us a lot to think about. We were delighted to be able to host our Sporting Breakfast in Worcestershire. Thanks to everyone for pulling all the rabbits out of the hat to make it happen despite the dreadful weather, a great morning!
The tip we had this week at one of our Boardrooms was that employees of a company had been told to politely say that they cannot shake hands for the moment due to the Coronavirus. Maybe not a bad idea for a few weeks to help contain matters.
Have a great week!

Why Diversity Matters
Business has the transformative power to change and contribute to a more open, diverse and inclusive society. We can only accomplish this by starting from within our organisations. Many of us know intuitively that diversity is good for business. The case for establishing a truly diverse workforce, at all organisation levels, grows more compelling each year. The moral argument is weighty enough, but the financial impact - as proven by multiple studies - makes this a no-brainer.

CCPA is here - are you ready?
Privacy isn’t your core business – but you need to pay attention to it.
When it comes to privacy and data protection, the public remembers your mistakes far longer than your successes.
Our teams know what it takes to keep your reputation strong and your organization compliant. We can build a privacy and data protection program from the ground up, or modernize the program you already have in place. And if you need ongoing help handling privacy protection issues, we can do that too.

Subject Access Requests (SARs)
If you have ever been in receipt of a Subject Access Request (SAR) from an employee or, ex-employee, you will know how very resource and time consuming they can be. At HR Champions we have seen more SARs being requested amongst our clients, usually by disgruntled employees. They often arise because the employee is looking for something against which they can make a claim.
The potential impact and effect that a SAR can have is, on its own, a good reason to pay attention to how you handle employee data.
