C3RF Member Update - 14 September, 2018
House of Commons Returns

Summer is quickly fading and our parliamentarians will be back in the House of Commons next week. We can be assured that their past attempts to fight "Islamophobia" and curtail a "rising tide of fear and hate" across the land will be in play this session. After all, they were very busy just before the summer break both accepting the "Heritage Committee's Report on Systemic Racism and Religious Discrimination, including Islamophobia" even as they budgeted $23M to various groups and agencies to do so . Recall that a significant portion of this money was slated to go to the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) and Islamic Relief - problematic from both security and financial perspectives as these two organizations are mired in allegations of support for terrorism and the installation of Sharia on a worldwide basis . There can be little doubt that related programs will be forthcoming to dispense your taxpayer dollars. Be assured that C3RF will be there, with your support, to constructively comment and criticize such initiatives on your behalf.
New front opened against free speech - "gender identity and expression"

The "gender identity and expression" Bill (C-16) is now law at the federal level and this new "grounds for discrimination" is installed in all provincial human rights codes. All Canadians can now, therefore, be compelled to use "preferred pronouns" in addressing those who claim them even as they can be taken to human rights courts for impeding transsexual access to public facilities and services. Such cases are now popping up all over the country with Barbara Kay highlighting one on the West Coast . In this particular case, a young single mother, self-employed as an aesthetician offering "waxing" services to females, apologetically refused to service a trans-woman presenting as a male with related genitalia. Didn't matter that she was neither trained nor equipped to do so, she was forced into the BCHRT bureaucracy to explain herself and face possible punishment. Be assured, C3RF has been very active on such files and, with your support, will act vigorously to publicize such instances and aid their victims as much as we are able.
Regular feature - C3RF Twitter highlights

C3RF is looking forward to providing you a theme-based, highlight summary of our tweets on a regular basis. This will give you an idea of what issues we are concentrating on along with trends in the on-going battle both for and against your fundamental, individual Charter rights. This week has been the 17th and 6th anniversaries of the Twin Tower and Benghazi attacks respectively. These attacks inform this week's theme - that being "wilful blindness to the threat of global jihad". What does this theme have to do with your right to free speech? It is central in that free speech includes the right to hear and be informed of the truth of matters that are of interest to you. Rather than this, our political, security and media elites are treating us like mushrooms. They are keeping us in the dark and feeding us crap.

It is remarkable that, after 17 years, security, political and media authorities in the West refuse to discuss a demonstrated terrorist threat in terms of that threat's own strategies, doctrines and objectives. Rather than this, blood and treasure are wasted on propping up notions such as "countering violent extremism" while the elephants in the room are ignored. The elephants, as detailed by organizations like ISIS, al-Qaeda, Boko Haram and al-Shabaab, are global jihad and the installation of sharia law worldwide. Here's a smattering of the tweets:

Ongoing operations and trends

C3RF is coordinating efforts to protect your fundamental Charter rights and freedoms with other like-minded organizations - both advocacy and legal. This has been the case with both offensive and defensive operations. In the former, we are tracking and helping with a case being pressed against the Ottawa Public Library by our own Madeline Weld and Valerie Price. In the latter, we are liaising to assist with a case that sees an everyday Canadian being prosecuted under "gender identity and expression" equality rights provisions. More on these later.

For those of you who have recently contributed to our coffers, thank you very much. We cannot continue to operate and progress such initiatives without such aid. Having said that, we could certainly use a lot more of it from all others and hope you can contribute towards making a difference.

And while you're considering making a difference, please follow C3RF on Twitter on Facebook and on our web site and share with friends our great content and a realistic outlook on the continuing battle for Charter Rights in Canada .
