Dear Animal Lovers, Advocates, Rescuers & Activists:

Want to know how your MP is voting on C-246? Head on over to C4P Animal Rescue Facebook page  - there's a handy chart. I discovered my MP to be only a "maybe". I'm driving over there on Monday and we're gonna have another talk.
And I'm going armed with resources. If anyone wants a copy of Animal Justice's 2- page document outlining exactly what the Bill does and doesn't do, just email me and I'll shoot you a copy...

Meanwhile, how's it looking in your riding? Can you do ONE more round???

Congratulations Ottawa Humane Society! Well done!

From Esther's Army:  Call to Action! *Farm in Fergus, ON Needs Volunteers Sept 24  -- Troops, remember that beautiful family of cows in Ontario that  needed a home to live out there days together? We shared that post back in December, and the task of finding that special home for 4 cows seemed nearly impossible. But as you've proven to us time and time again, nothing is impossible for Esther's Army of Love when we all pull together!   A lovely woman named Ali, and her partner, own a small vegan farm near Fergus, Ontario and they took time to visit with Regina and her 'little' cow family in Northumberland County and fell in love.  Ali needs to shore up some fencing to make the place secure for their new big kids and that's where we come in! Can any of you soldiers in Ontario offer to spend a day helping with manual labor on Saturday September 24th? Ali figures with a dedicated team we can do it in a day and has offered to provide a delicious vegan meal for any who can help. No special skills are needed, just a desire to be of help.  Please email Ali directly at: if you can offer a few hours on Sept 24th! We can help these cows jump over the moon and land in their forever home...but it'll take an army!

Introducing Bear and Pedro!!! These cuties came in with over a dozen rats, and they are the only ones left from that group that haven't found their family!!! We can't figure out why as they are the cutest rats EVER!  This month it's our mission to find them a home so it's promo time.  For the month of September we will be having a special adoption fee of 2 for 1!!!  Bear and Pedro are vetted. neutered, and would do best in a rat experienced home or one willing to learn and let rats be rats.  Please spread the word about them. After the horrible neglect and abuse they have suffered they just want to find a loving home!

RIP Cousin Emmett Goat. Heartfelt condolences to Woodstock Animal Sanctuary.

Fall season is here -- Veg Fests, annual fairs, harvest celebrations... It's a great time to get out and celebrate with your community. Where possible, ask for vegan/vegetarian options, challenge those rescues who are offering BBQ'd animals, watch out for (live) livestock being used inappropriately, and most importantly, from now to the end of the month, have the discussion with friends/family re: Bill C-246.
