Local Food Promotion & Marketing Internship Program

Are you a California-based college student seeking an internship this summer OR a farmers market in California seeking an intern?

The California Alliance of Farmers' Markets is offering a farmers' market marketing internship and is currently seeking applicants for both interns and host sites. This program will run from June through August and interns will be paid and paired with farmers' markets in their local community.

The internship will consist of working at a farmers' market both behind the scenes and at markets, creating marketing materials for them, and simultaneously taking a local food systems marketing course.

If you are a student or market in the Inland Empire, interested in either becoming an intern or host site, please fill out the applications below and/or reach out to putri@ecologycenter.org with any questions. We will only be reviewing Inland Empire applications at this time.

Apply to be Part of the Alliance's BIPOC Working Group

California farmers’ market professionals need Justice Equity Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI) content, tools and training, specifically for a farmers’ market context. The BIPOC Working Group (“Working Group”) will support the Alliance in establishing systems of support for BIPOC industry leaders, and support the Alliance in better integrating JEDI values into what it does.

The Working Group will do this by:

  • Co-creating scope of work (SOW) and JEDI short-term and long-term goals
  • Co-facilitating regional affinity community-building groups
  • Supporting the implementation of short-term and potentially long-term JEDI-related goals and deliverables
  • Supporting the direction and implementation of programming as an Alliance Steering Committee member
