Hundreds of city officials will be traveling to Sacramento to lobby their senators and assembly members on bills affecting California cities as part of the League of California Cities Legislative Action Day on April 24.

California State Treasurer Fiona Ma announced on March 28 that she is kicking off “National Financial Literacy Month” a few days early with the launch of a financial training video designed to inform and empower elected officials.

Legislative hearings are well underway, and the Legislature continues to discuss policy areas of interest to cities. The Legislature will be on Spring Break as of April 11 and will return on April 22.
