Among the 2,700 bills introduced in the Legislature this year, San Francisco Bay Area legislators have introduced nearly 20 bills seeking to implement elements of a Bay Area regional housing plan referred to as the CASA Compact.
Cities left a resounding message of strength in the nation’s capital last week when the National League of Cities brought together thousands of city officials from across the country for its annual Congressional City Conference. 
As the Legislature continues to hold a number of oversight and informational hearings on policy areas of interest to cities, policy committee hearings are now underway as well.

The State Water Resources Control Board, along with five partner agencies, will host six free California Financing Coordinating Committee Funding Fairs throughout state during the months of April through August. 

The League’s co-sponsorship of the California Statewide Communities Development Authority continues to be one of the most significant benefits for League members.
