Breaking Barriers Welcomes State Sen. Jim Beall
We are incredibly excited to announce that California State Senator Jim Beall (CA-15) will be joining us to open the 2019 Breaking Barriers Symposium!

Senator Beall has more than three decades in public service, from San Jose City Council and the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, to the State Assembly and the State Senate, where he has been serving since 2012. He is a longtime children's advocate, particularly around expanding care for California's youth.

Among other committee seats, Senator Beall is a member of the Senate Committee on Human Services, whose purview includes bills relating to child welfare and foster care, welfare programs, and social services. He will be our opening speaker on Day 1, Wednesday, November 20th.
