Join us for a special Silicon Valley Connect as we celebrate the ribbon cutting and grand re-opening of the Chamber offices on Thursday, January 6th!

Silicon Valley Connect is the most down-to-earth, no pressure, no stress people-focused event that the SVC Chamber hosts. Repeated several times per year at various locations across the Valley, this is a "networking-style" event with a festive happy-hour feel.
Registration now open
This Signature Event is a luncheon event by the Government Relations (GR) Committee. The speakers change from year to year; but, are always Mayors, City Councilmembers, City Managers or other interesting city staff, political scientists, advocates, and activists focused on the issues of the day in various Silicon Valley Cities.
The California Legislature had a very busy year again this year. They crafted, debated, and passed several hundred bills which were sent to the Governor’s desk for consideration. Most of them became laws. As you might expect, when an employment law goes into effect, as most do on the 1st of January, the organizations’ manager or owner has more work to do to keep up.

Through the SVC Chamber’s partnership with the California Chamber (CalChamber) we are pleased to offer you a free White Paper on New 2022 California Employment Laws. Here’s a very brief summary of some of the changes:
  • Two new violation categories through Cal/OSHA.
  • Workplace harassment and discrimination significantly expanded.
  • Changes to the limits on nondisclosure provisions in severance agreements.
  • COVID-19- related regulations.
  • Changes to the Worker’s Compensation laws.
  • Broadened rules for legal settlement agreements.
  • And much, much, more.

Needless to say, if you have employees in California, you ARE EFFECTED by these changing laws. We’ve got your back. Check out the Free White Paper to learn more.
