Additional Hotel Information for CAAA Attendees

In case you missed out on the Fairmont Banff Springs room block, we're pleased to offer some extra hotel details. Please keep in mind that hotel rooms in Banff sell out rapidly, and there are no specific room blocks designated for CAAA at the hotels listed below. As a result, we recommend booking your accommodations as soon as possible to guarantee a room.

  1. Mount Royal Hotel. The rooms per night average $260. This hotel is right downtown and is recently renovated. The hotel is walking distance to the Banff Springs hotel (about a 15-minute walk).
  2. Hotel Canoe & Suites. Cost is $181 to $201 per night plus tax. This hotel is a new hotel and is further away from the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel. Guests would have to take the bus (free passes from the hotel), Uber, or drive and park.

To reserve a room at your preferred hotel, click on the hotel name above in green text.

Flying in the Wire and Obstruction Environment

Start your Conference early!

This year the Board is providing a full-day workshop on Flying in the Wire and Obstruction Environment. This workshop is acclaimed by professional airplane and helicopter operators worldwide. It gives low-altitude aviators the essential skills needed to safely operate an aircraft in wire and obstruction environments. This course is for both aircraft and helicopter pilots. It teaches how to identify signs of wires and why ag aviators hit wires they already knew were there.

This workshop is available at a discount to conference registrants as part of your conference registration or as a standalone ticket if you are only available for the day. If you have any questions, please contact the office at 780.413.0078 or [email protected]
