CAAB Selected for Inaugural
Endurance Fund Cohort
Innovative partnership between Catalogue for Philanthropy and 20 Degrees bolstered CAAB and 8 other impactful non-profit organizations in the Washington, DC metropolitan region.
Washington, DC - January 10, 2022 - Capital Area Asset Builders (CAAB) announces it was selected as one of 9 non-profit organizations from the Washington, DC metropolitan region to form part of the inaugural cohort of the Endurance Fund, an innovative partnership between the Catalogue for Philanthropy and 20 Degrees.
The Endurance Fund aims to help local non-profits to endure the challenges of the pandemic while building a strong financial foundation for long-term recovery and continued success.
"I am grateful and very proud that CAAB was selected by the Catalogue for Philanthropy and 20 Degrees for this great opportunity," said Joseph Leitmann-Santa Cruz, CAAB’s CEO & Executive Director. "Over the past year, CAAB has benefited from the valuable elements of the 20 Degrees COVID-19 financial toolkit, as well as survey and community of practice insights from the Catalogue for Philanthropy. Additionally, we have learned new approaches and best practices from our cohort peers. Thanks to these learnings, CAAB is stronger, more resilient, and prepared for the recovery ahead so that we can expand our work and impact in intentionally addressing, disrupting, and closing the racial wealth gap in the Washington, DC metropolitan region."
In addition to CAAB, the other non-profit organizations selected were Arts on the Block, Bridges to Independence, Calvary Women's Services, Computer CORE, Dog Tag, Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School, Together We Bake, and UrbanEd, Inc.
