Basic information a new Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) member should get during the first three months of service to be an effective member
(not listed in any priority order) includes:
1. Role and responsibilities of the CBOC member as defined in California Education Code 15264 – 15288.
3. Bond measure ballot language including project list.
4. Latest copy of the facilities master plan listing campus sites, buildings, facilities assessments, and school population.
5. Bond projects in progress indicating project objectives, budget, actual costs and schedules.
6. Financial information such as bond expenditures by year, planned budget for current year.
7. Dates of meetings for the upcoming year.
8. CBOC bylaws.
9. The CBOC website link.
10. The most recent CBOC annual report.
11. The most recent annual financial audit report.
12. The most recent annual performance audit report.
13. Names, resumes, emails, and telephone numbers of CBOC members.
14. Names of the district facilities and maintenance staff and their contact information.
15. How to place an item on a future CBOC agenda.
16. Monthly reports of bond measure expenditures to include warrant number, vendor, the amount paid.
17. Monthly budget v. actual expenditures and commitments by project.
18. District construction plan, schedule and contractors working on the project.
