CAC NEWSLETTER

2022 | January

Message from Sherry, President/CEO

Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2022 from the Child Advocacy Center (CAC)!

I hope this newsletter reminds you of the good being done in our community every day.  The CAC served 2,101 children and 1,710 caregivers in 2021, more that we have ever served before in a single year. The CAC was available because of YOUR support.

December was a special time for donors and families. Donors from all over the community brought smiles to the faces of children across our community during Help for the Holidays.

Thank you all for your support in so many ways throughout the year. I hope you will join us for our events and activities in 2022 to continue to break the cycle of child abuse.

Thank YOU for Your Holiday Help!

A special part of the happiness of the holidays is seeing a child's face light up when they open the gift they've been wishing and dreaming of. Thanks to your support, 54 families in our community were able to experience the joy of 146 children's wishes being granted!

Helping to Find a Safe Place

The CAC works with many survivors of human trafficking. One incredible therapy client has been engaged with our therapy program for the last few months.

After working collaboratively with other community partners, she was able to arrive at her Safe Harbor placement this week. She will be able to continue working with her CAC therapist and is already feeling a sense of safety and happiness at her new placement.

Safe Harbor placements are specifically utilized for survivors of sexual exploitation and provides opportunities for safe housing, education, job skills training, medical care, and so much more.
