HOLIDAY PROJECT 2021
The holiday season is fast approaching, and we are gearing up for our annual Holiday Project! Each year our Holiday Project helps ensure vulnerable children served by CACCC will have a happy holiday.

If you are looking for a way to give back, bring joy to a child who has experienced trauma, or bring relief to a parent trying to navigate through a difficult time, please explore the ways you can get involved with our 2021 Holiday Project. Current needs include:
Holiday Shop Gifts
Holiday Shop is a place non-offending caregivers are given the chance to “shop” for their children at no charge, allowing them the joy of presenting their children with holiday gifts. Teen items, electronics, gift cards, and toys for children and teens of all ages are needed to stock the Holiday Shop.

Adopt-a-Child
This program provides three holiday wishes to a child who currently lives with relatives, in a foster home, in an in-patient Residential Treatment Center, or is currently receiving services at the Center.
This is a $125 commitment.

29TH ANNUAL TEDDY BEAR RIDE A BIG SUCCESS!
presented by
Our Teddy Bear Ride supporters are very near and dear to our hearts. After all, this annual event is the Center’s longest-standing fundraiser. Over the years this special event has grown leaps and bounds as this pack of supporters is fiercely loyal and generous.

Thank you to all who gathered on Sunday, October 24th, for the 29th Annual Teddy Bear Ride presented by Harley Davidson Foundation. It was simply spectacular to gather and see so many of you on such a beautiful fall day!

On behalf of the children we serve, thank you again for standing with us as we continue our mission as part of the Teddy Bear Ride pack - PROTECT. RIDE. SUPPORT.

Often, we have families who visit the Center who are not only in need of crisis intervention and essential services, they also present with unique needs that our Family Advocacy and Development Departments work creatively to meet with the support of our community. We were so happy to recently fulfill a special need of a client and are excited to share with you.

We were in the midst of providing services to a child victimized by abuse. He was one of three children in a single-parent home. His parent was struggling to make ends meet since COVID and his little brother desperately wanted to learn to play trumpet and join the school’s orchestra program. While the parent was able to afford the activity fee, they could not, however afford to purchase or rent a trumpet for the son to participate.

Our Family Advocate teamed up with the Development Department to reach out to Plano Symphony Orchestra to present this unique giving opportunity, as they have been supporters of the Center for a long time. Plano Symphony Orchestra so graciously donated the instrument so the young boy could fulfill his dream of playing the trumpet. Donations like this are so meaningful for our families who are already dealing with such an incredibly difficult time.

Special thanks to Plano Symphony Orchestra and the many other donors who have helped us meet special needs for our clients. It means so much more than you could ever know!
