Spotlight on CADA Co-founder, Wendy Duke
CADA co-founder and Theatre on the Spectrum program director, Wendy Duke, will be appearing the Shakespeare's Richard III directed by Michael Gatto, at the University of Akron in the Sandefur Theatre. The style of the production is unique: the scenery, costumes and acting are inspired by a distressed and sad circus look. Wendy is thrilled to be back on the stage performing with this talented cast!

Richard III is one of the first depictions of a disabled person on stage. In the Elizabethan era, disability was thought to be connected to morality: Shakespeare depicts disability as Richard's reason for turning evil. For an interesting scholarly view of Richard III and disability, go here.

This production is not for the faint of heart! For ticket information, please visit the University of Akron's School of Dance, Theatre and Arts Administration's event page.
