CADDAC is looking for 9 facilitators across Canada for our new ADHD Youth Peer Facilitated Support Groups!

ADHD Support Groups
Feeling overwhelmed with life’s twists and turns? CADDAC’s ADHD Support Groups are led by trained facilitators who are all adults with ADHD.
Each session will allow you to share your story or strategies with others who understand what it means to be affected by ADHD. An email with the Zoom link will be sent a day before the session.

ADHD and Substance Use Disorder Peer-led Support Groups
New support groups!
CADDAC is launching new ADHD and Substance Use Disorder Peer-Led Support Groups in January 2024, with funding support from Health Canada.
Through these virtual group sessions, participants will receive emotional support and mentorship, critical education about ADHD, and strategies on how to manage some of the core symptoms that have led to substance use. These groups will be offered in different time zones across Canada and will be peer-led by trained Peer Support Facilitators.

Parenting Support Groups
Monthly
Join CADDAC’s Virtual Parent Support Group, led by CADDAC-trained facilitators, who are all parents and caregivers of children with ADHD. Sessions will allow you to share your story or strategies with others who understand what it means to be a parent or caregiver of a child (or children!) with ADHD.
Who can join: Open to any parents/caregivers of children with ADHD in Canada. All support groups are drop-in.
Feel free to register for whichever timezone works best for your personal schedule.

Understanding Adult ADHD

ADHD impacts all areas of life, and understanding is a pivotal starting point for moving forward.This program is designed for those who are newly diagnosed and are embarking on a personal journey of self-discovery. Join us to unravel the complexities of Adult ADHD in an interactive, supportive, and collaborative environment.
After this program you should be able to:
- Understand the wide range of Adult ADHD symptoms.
- Become aware of how ADHD can impact various aspects of life.
- Take proactive steps to explore non-medication approaches to managing ADHD.
- Identify how ADHD medications work and how they can improve daily functioning.
- Access resources that can bring positive changes to lives of people with ADHD.

In addition, we will celebrate the contributions of CAMH’s National Youth Advisory Committee members in shaping research on child, youth, adolescent, and family mental health.
