Living as an Older Adult with ADHD by Joan


As a woman nearing 60yrs, a young senior living with ADHD, it was important to me to be diagnosed late in life. This diagnosis became necessary as distractibility, time management, and persistent rejection sensitive dysphoria (RDS) unhinged me in both my academic and professional practice as a registered psychotherapist in Ontario. To the point of risking failure and losing my helping career. I leaned into CADDAC to find a community of support.

ADHD Support Groups


Feeling overwhelmed with life’s twists and turns? CADDAC’s ADHD Support Groups for Parents and Adults are led by trained facilitators who are all adults with ADHD.


Each session will allow you to share your story or strategies with others who understand what it means to be affected by ADHD. An email with the Zoom link will be sent a day before the session.

ADHD and Substance Use Disorder Peer-led Support Groups


CADDAC's new ADHD and Substance Use Disorder Peer-Led Support Groups are open to any adults with ADHD in Canada who are struggling with Substance Use Disorder. These support groups receive funding support from Health Canada.


Through these virtual group sessions, participants will receive emotional support and mentorship, critical education about ADHD, and strategies on how to manage some of the core symptoms that have led to substance use. These groups are offered in different time zones across Canada and are led by trained Peer Support Facilitators. Feel free to register for whichever timezone works best for your personal schedule!

Youth ADHD Group Coaching Program: 16-24 years

Runs April to May 2024

In the dynamic and engaging Youth ADHD Group Coaching Program, teens and young adults will not only learn more about ADHD and the impact it can have on their lives, but also gain tools and techniques to set themselves up for success and learn how to grow from past experiences and achieve their goals.

Free Employment Skills Virtual Workshop

This one hour FREE virtual webinar is hosted by WonderTree Child, Adolescent, and Family Services. The webinar is designed for youth living in Ontario, Canada, ages 15-21 who are seeking to learn more about employment readiness skills, and their caregivers. Ideal for youth and young adults that are autistic, have ADHD, or mental health concerns. This event will be hosted by a WonderTree Job Coach and Executive Functioning Coach, Abbie Cameron.

Emotion dysregulation in the family: Clinical interventions for family members of youth with emotion dysregulation

This training webinar provided bySickKids Centre for Community Mental Health Learning Institute will focus on clinical interventions for family members of youth with emotion dysregulation. It will provide both education and intervention strategies for working with family members and focus on ways to support families who struggle with chronic relationship challenges due to emotion dysregulation.


This training is suitable for:

Mental Health Professionals: psychotherapists, counsellors, psychologists, social workers



Medical Professionals: nurses, psychiatrists, pediatricians, family doctors


Direct Service Workers: drop in workers, shelter and hostel workers, child and youth workers, youth justice workers.
