Sheena's Story

Have you ever felt like you're only hearing half of the story, like you're disconnected from the world around you? Sheena certainly knows that feeling all too well.

Throughout her educational journey, Sheena grappled with this disconnection, as if she were only experiencing half the soundtrack of life. Little did she know, her struggles were rooted in undiagnosed ADHD – a common reality for many.

Ways to Give

Gifts of Securities

Donating securities is one way you can help change lives and shape our community’s future. Do you hold securities that have increased in value in recent years?

Your gift of securities entitles you to receive a donation receipt for the full market value (resale) of your contribution. Your gift will result in a non-refundable tax credit that will reduce your income taxes. You can use it in the year of your gift or carry it forward. You pay no capital gains tax on the appreciated value (increased price) of your securities.

By donating securities directly to the Centre for ADHD Awareness, Canada avoids the tax on capital gains, maximizes the return on your investment and protects the tax credits for use against other taxable income. Your donation of listed securities can help provide assistance to people affected by ADHD by providing courses, programs and support groups to individuals and families struggling across Canada.

Donating securities is an easy process! For more information go to Securities information on the CADDAC website and click the securities tab on the side, or download our Securities PDF.
