Down the Rabbit Hole by Dee
On a cold December afternoon in 2022, I requested a call with my family doctor that would change the trajectory of my life, and would be the missing piece of the puzzle I had been searching for.
I was concerned, after watching endless YouTube videos and listening to Spotify podcasts, there was a chance that I could be neurodivergent, with all signs pointing towards Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

ADHD Support Groups
Feeling overwhelmed with life’s twists and turns? CADDAC’s ADHD Support Groups for Parents and Adults are led by trained facilitators who are all adults with ADHD.
Each session will allow you to share your story or strategies with others who understand what it means to be affected by ADHD. An email with the Zoom link will be sent a day before the session.

ADHD and Substance Use Disorder Peer-led Support Groups
CADDAC's new ADHD and Substance Use Disorder Peer-Led Support Groups are open to any adults with ADHD in Canada who are struggling with Substance Use Disorder. These support groups receive funding support from Health Canada.
Through these virtual group sessions, participants will receive emotional support and mentorship, critical education about ADHD, and strategies on how to manage some of the core symptoms that have led to substance use. These groups are offered in different time zones across Canada and are led by trained Peer Support Facilitators. Feel free to register for whichever timezone works best for your personal schedule!

ACFAS Conference
May 13 to 17, 2024
University of Ottawa
From May 13th to the 17th, l’Association Francophone pour le Savoir will be hosting their annual research conference at the University of Ottawa.
Parent volunteers are needed to participate in two discussion panels that will take place on May 15th. The first panel will occur at 13h00 and will explore the impact of home-based video conferencing on child and youth mental health care. The second panel will occur at 14h30 and will cover the impact of precision medicine on patient-centred care in child and youth mental health. Catering for the day as well as conference fees and honoraria will be covered.

Accessibility Barrier Research Project Call for Participation
The Information and Communication Technology Research group within New Brunswick Community College has obtained funding from the Advancing Accessibility Standards Research Program of Accessibility Standards Canada to conduct a three-year study of accessibility standards.
The purpose of this program is to support research that helps identify and remove barriers to accessibility. The program also seeks to fund projects aimed at preventing new barriers and that inform the development of next-generation model standards.
