The Central NH Parent Advisory Council (PAC) represents the collective voice of parents in our region. Parent leaders inform CADY on current health-related concerns, needs, and trends, helping to influence changes in prevention policy and programming. This high-energy program provides a rewarding leadership opportunity for parents who want to help build healthy, safe environments and promising futures for kids in the Pemi-Baker and Newfound regions.

Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. That's dangerous and often tragic. That's why it was great to see thousands of folks from across the country clean out their medicine cabinets and turn in - safely and anonymously - a record amount of prescription drugs.

The majority of teens abusing prescription drugs get them from family, friends and the home medicine cabinet. Unused prescription medication thrown in the trash can be retrieved and abused or illegally sold. Unused drugs that are flushed down the toilet contaminate the water supply. Proper disposal of unused drugs saves lives while protecting the environment.

To help address this need, CADY is offering free Deterra bags to the community in order to safely dispose of unwanted or unused medications.
