CAEP 2022-23 Preliminary Allocations
By statute, the CAEP preliminary allocations must be posted by the end of February each year. This year, the CAEP Office has posted the preliminary allocation early to open up the NOVA three-year plan. Please click on this link to access the CAEP 2022-23 preliminary allocations by each consortium. The allocations will be posted in NOVA by the end of the month and will unlock your three-year plan for input. Consortia will need to schedule their public meetings to discuss member allocations as the certification of member allocations is due by May 2, 2022. This is part of the CFAD process for CAEP. No extensions will be granted past the May 2nd due date. For consortia that fail to submit their CFAD on time, the State CAEP Office will be forced to use prior year allocation numbers to move forward with the disbursement of funds. If the May Revise results in a change to the 2022-23 preliminary allocations, the State will use the allocation amendment process in NOVA to reflect funding changes. In addition to the CFAD, consortia will also be required to certify their Governance document in NOVA by May 2nd. A webinar covering the CFAD and the Governance certification will take place in March (date and time TBA).
Please contact TAP at tap@caladulted.org or (888) 827-2324 if you have questions.

CWDB California’s Unified Strategic Workforce Development Plan
The California Workforce Development Board (CWDB) is seeking public comments on California’s Unified Strategic Workforce Development Plan (State Plan) 2020-2023 Modification.
The four-year State Plan represents an agreement among the core partners identified in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and serves as the framework for developing public policy, fiscal investment, and operation of all state labor exchange, workforce education, and training programs. The US Department of Labor requires states to review and submit modifications to their State Plans at the two-year point that reflect any changes in the labor market and economic conditions, or other factors affecting implementation. The workforce development community is encouraged to review the State Plan and submit comments to the WIOA State Plan inbox.
The State Plan is posted on the CWDB website for a 30-day public comment period. Comments will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2022, and must be submitted in writing by email to WIOAStatePlan@cwdb.ca.gov.
