CAEP 2022-25 Three-Year Plan in NOVA Webinar
The CAEP 2022-25 Three-Year Plan will be available in NOVA soon! We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience. The CAEP Office and CAEP TAP have worked diligently with the NOVA programmers to ensure the programming is accurate, intuitive and easy to navigate. Once the three-year plan is live, we will notify all consortia leads and members via direct communication.
The CAEP 2022-25 Three-Year Plan in NOVA webinar will take place on Wednesday, February 16th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. This webinar will provide a step-by-step live demonstration on how to complete the plan in NOVA as well as address any questions. Register for the upcoming webinar, if you have not done so already.
CFAD and Governance Documents Reminder
The CFAD and governance documents for 2022 are connected to the three-year plan. The CFAD and governance documents will need to submitted and approved by all consortium members in order to submit and approve the three-year plan by June 20, 2022.
Three-Year Plan Webinar in March
The CAEP Office and CAEP TAP will host a webinar in March to address any final supportive needs related to the three-year plan. All details will be released soon.

PPIC: California’s Population
|
|
In the PPIC fact sheet on California’s population, one in eight US residents live in California. California is the most populous state with over39 million residents, following by Texas (29 million) and Florida (22 million). Although California is the most populous state, its population growth has slowed dramatically in recent decades. As consortia are examining data to support the three-year plan, the PPIC fact sheet may be a beneficial data source.

Registration for OTAN's annual Technology and Distance Learning Symposium (TDLS), which will take place online from March 2 to 4, is open!
TDLS is OTAN's three-day conference with dynamic, hands-on presentations that show participants how to integrate technology to enhance the learner experience, extend the classroom to learners through blended/distance learning, and help adult education programs be more effective and efficient.
Join us at TDLS to learn more about:
- Online learning, blended learning, and distance learning
- A variety of tech tools for the classroom
- How to address digital equity and access, technology integration, online engagement, and many other topics for teachers, administrators, and support staff using technology
- OTAN's Digital Leadership Academy (DLAC) projects

Building on the success of our first-ever virtual conference in 2021, TDLS is once again online this year. Registration is open to the first 800 registrants. TDLS is free, and we hope to see many new faces this year, especially those of you who have not been able to attend TDLS in previous years. TDLS is ideal for teachers, coordinators, administrators, and support staff in the network of California adult education providers under WIOA, Title II: Adult Education and Family Literacy Act, the federal grant administered by the Adult Education Office at the California Department of Education. Deadline Approaching: NTIA Request for Comment on Broadband Programs in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law
|
|
Adult education leaders are encouraged to submit comments in response to the U.S. Commerce Department's Request for Comments regarding the first element of the Digital Equity Act -- the forthcoming state Digital Equity Planning Grants and planning process. It is important that Commerce requires state governor's offices to include adult education officials in the state planning process from the very beginning. Deadline for submitting comments is February 4, 2022.

Deadline Approaching: CWDB California’s Unified Strategic Workforce Development Plan
|
|
The California Workforce Development Board (CWDB) is seeking public comments on California’s Unified Strategic Workforce Development Plan (State Plan) 2020-2023 Modification.
The four-year State Plan represents an agreement among the core partners identified in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and serves as the framework for developing public policy, fiscal investment, and operation of all state labor exchange, workforce education, and training programs. The US Department of Labor requires states to review and submit modifications to their State Plans at the two-year point that reflect any changes in the labor market and economic conditions, or other factors affecting implementation. The workforce development community is encouraged to review the State Plan and submit comments to the WIOA State Plan inbox.
The State Plan is posted on the CWDB website for a 30-day public comment period. Comments will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2022, and must be submitted in writing by email to WIOAStatePlan@cwdb.ca.gov.

EDD: Rural Public Health Workforce Training Network Program – Grant Application Opportunity
|
|
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Health Resources and Services Administration announces the availability of approximately $48 million for the Rural Public Health Workforce Training Network Program (RPHWTN) to expand public health capacity by supporting health care job development, training, and placement in rural and tribal communities. The HHS anticipates awarding 31 grants with a maximum award of approximately $1.5 million for a three-year project period. One of the key elements of the RPHWTN Program is to create stronger linkages between training programs and the health care entities that will ultimately employ these public health professionals.
Applicants must select at least one of the following workforce training tracks and establish a network to implement workforce activities that will directly impact the workforce training track(s):
- Track #1 – Community Health Support
- Track #2 – Health IT and/or Telehealth Technical Support
- Track #3 – Community Para-Medicine
- Track #4 – Case Management Staff and/or Respiratory Therapists
Eligible applicants must be public or private, non-profit or for-profit entities, including faith-based, community-based, tribes and tribal organizations with demonstrated experience serving, or the capacity to serve, rural underserved populations. The closing date for receipt of proposals is March 18, 2022.

CAEP 2022-25 Three-Year Plan Peer Learning Circles
|
|
Want to engage with CAEP consortia around relevant questions concerning the CAEP 2022-25 Three-Year Plan? Join us for monthly three-year plan peer learning circles (PLCs). The topic-focused discussions will address questions related to progress towards completing the three-year plan. The PLCs will be facilitated by CAEP consortium directors. The intended audience are consortium directors and staff who are leading their consortium’s three-year planning process.
The monthly PLCs are scheduled for the following dates and times:
- Friday, February 25, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
- Friday, March 18, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
