CAEP COLA Update for 20-21
The CAEP State Office will release a memo next month detailing how the Governor’s proposed COLA for CAEP members will be rolled out for the 20-21 state fiscal year.  All CAEP members are eligible for the COLA. The COLA will be based on the member’s allocation percentage (from the prior year's CFAD) – so if a member receives 20% of the consortium allocation in the CFAD, they will receive 20% of the COLA provided to the consortium.

The Consortium Program Quality Self-Assessment Tool is designed to provide consortia with a way to initiate important conversations about the quality of their collaboration and impact within their communities. This tool involves a self-directed quality improvement process wherein consortium agencies may work collaboratively to assess their strengths and weakness, and to develop strategies to enhance policies, procedures and practices accordingly. As planning for the 20-21 program year gets underway, this tool and other important planning resources are available as part of the Regional Planning Page .

USA Learns and Cyber-ESL Model

Instituto piloted a new ESL model, utilizing the Sacramento County Office of Education's ESL software, USA Learns. The new ESL model combines a traditional online program, real-time video-chat and online interaction between teachers and classmates, classroom sessions, and a unique set of supports and enrichments.
