The Crafton Leadership Academy for Student Success (CLASS) is a comprehensive five-week summer bridge program designed to facilitate the transition of adult school graduates to college. It provides a holistic experience integrating academic instruction, career readiness, and social-emotional learning, with participants enrolling in a CSU-transferable course alongside workshops and university visits. This program directly addresses the significant barriers faced by adult school graduates, such as academic unpreparedness and unfamiliarity with postsecondary systems. CLASS equips students with the necessary tools, confidence, and early institutional connections to enhance retention and long-term success.

Ven al Cafe con Pan is a SVAEC series of presentations for students, community members, adult schools and the general public. The event is provided due to requests from the SVAEC Student Council. All presentations will be recorded and shared with those that register for Ven al Cafe con Pan.

CALPRO 2025-2026 Professional Learning Communities (PLC) Institute: Application Still Open
The application to the 2025-2026 Professional Learning Communities (PLC) Institute is still open until September 29, 2025. Participating teams and individual members can choose to attend the full-day sessions in November and May either virtually or in person.
• November 6-7, 2025 This two-day session in Sacramento, CA will focus on the framework and the training needed to craft plans and start a PLC process of school improvement focusing on student learning through ongoing professional development embedded in the agency’s school calendar.
• November 7, 2025 - May 7, 2026 Participating schools are expected to use the intervening time between the November and May sessions to take action on plans to lay the groundwork for PLC implementation for the 2023–24 school year and complete online assignments.
• January 23, 2026, 12:30-3:30 This webinar will focus on PLC big ideas and essential questions.
• March 6, 2026 12:30-3:30 This webinar will focus on team assessment collaboration.
• May 7-8, 2026 This two-day session in Sacramento, CA will focus on continuing training, feedback, evaluation, and problem-solving in support of implementation.

The Consortium Directors' Peer Learning Circles serve as a specialized forum for Consortium Leads, Co-Leads, Managers, and Directors. This platform offers a unique space to engage in discussions on challenges, queries, and distinctive scenarios frequently experienced by Consortium Leads, who often navigate the complexities of both the Community College noncredit system and the K12 system. It provides an invaluable opportunity for leads from across California to exchange ideas, find thought partners, and disseminate strategies and best practices, thereby fostering excellence throughout the state.
