Adult Education to Community College Transitions

Consortia Involved:

South Bay Adult Education Consortium/Southwestern

Adult school students often struggle to transition to community college due to a lack of understanding of the enrollment process, needing support with registration, and feeling unprepared for the new environment. To address this, a partnership has placed community college counselors at adult schools, established a "Fast Forward to College" pipeline, and embedded noncredit community college courses into adult education programs. These initiatives provide one-on-one guidance, clarify eligibility requirements, and offer essential skills training. Discover the full details of this successful model program.
