CAEP Quarter 2 Expense Report

The Quarter 2 member expense report was to be submitted by the members no later than March 1, 2024. The consortium has until March 31, 2024 to certify the member expense report.


*Please note: during this report submission, each member will certify they have either expended the 2021-22 allocation or will return the remaining amount to the State

CAEP Quarter 3 Student Data

The Quarter 3 student data is due by April 30, 2024 in TOPSPro for K-12 CAEP adult education providers and WIOA-funded community college noncredit providers. Additionally, the employment and earnings follow-up survey is due on the same day, April 30, 2024.

Advancing CA Adult Education Model Program

The program of practice for About Students Regional Consortium, Riverside was the Integrated Education Training (IET) offerings that provide career pathways with living-wage potential. The response was to convert the Career Technical Education (CTE) Nurse Assistant Training Program (NATP) into an IET Healthcare Pathway.

This hybrid role allows for a flexible work arrangement with some days allocated to telecommuting and others spent at the SCOE Adult Education Office located in Sacramento. CAEP TAP Targeted Technical Assistance (TTA)


CAEP TAP invites consortium leads and members to reach out to express interest in this limited-capacity technical assistance opportunity. Could your consortium benefit from dedicated intensive coaching and support? Our TTA coaches guide consortia through change management, CAEP member effectiveness, improving recruiting, persistence, performance outcomes, and more. Our coaches work with consortia to identify key areas for improvement and then provide support throughout the process to reach successful outcomes. The 2024-25 series from The Change Agent is titled “Our Digital Future.” They are looking for students to write about how they use digital tools for civics, health, managing finances and family needs, entertainment, and work. The Change Agent is especially interested in how students have figured out how to avoid scams and improve their media literacy, so they don’t fall for fake news.

Call for Proposals Open!

The Call for Proposals for the Strengthening Student Success Conference 2024 (SSSC24) is currently underway. Call for Proposals may be submitted by clicking the button below. The SSSC24 will be held October 9–11 at the Hyatt Regency Orange County in Garden Grove, CA.  


The SSSC24 provides a unique opportunity for a wide cross-section of California community college professionals—including faculty, deans, student services staff, IRPE, and more—to engage with each other on strategies for increasing equitable outcomes, institutional effectiveness, leadership capacity, and other important topics.


If you’ve attended previously, but never submitted a proposal, please consider sending in a submission this year. We would love to have proposals from Adult Ed Consortia, community college partners, and workforce partners. We are especially interested in your partnerships, transitions processes and other great work you are doing on your campus to improve student success.

CAEP Allocations FY 24-25: Essential Budget Implication

March 12, 2024 11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m.


The deadline for submitting the 2024-25 CAEP Consortium Fiscal Administration Declaration (CFAD) is May 2, 2024. However, with a potential budget deficit, how will this impact my 24-25 allocations? In an effort to assist consortia and their members with potential state budget deficit modifications, the CAEP Office will be providing detailed guidance and training on how to navigate the CFAD, the allocation amendment (if needed), annual plan, and budget & work plan processes, to ensure accurate submission of these upcoming CAEP deliverables. This webinar will provide Consortia leads and members with an overview on how to jump start your allocations & planning for FY 24-25, including the anticipated implications of the States’ fiscal budget.

Using Universal Design for Learning and Educational Technology to Increase Engagement, Equity, and Access in Your Classroom


March 14, 2024 12:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m.


Educational Technology and Universal Design for Learning are natural complements. Used together, they create equitable and accessible instruction for a variety of learners. UDL is a framework designed around leveling curriculum so that all students have an opportunity to learn. Using technology tools to enhance engagement and representation helps build an equitable platform for learning. Participants will walk away with practical strategies for implementing these ideas in their classroom.
