The CAEP Newsletter will now be released twice a month, on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. If you would like to submit an item for consideration, please submit it no later than the Friday before the week of publication.

CAEP Program Area Report

The CAEP Program Area report was due to be certified in NOVA by December 1, 2024. To report hours of instruction, members are to use the TOPSpro® Enterprise CAEP 2023-24 member reports by program area, their agency’s attendance system, and the community college district’s apportionment attendance reports generated from the CCFS-320 Reporting System for noncredit FTES. To report leveraged funds, use your district's accounting records. | | |

The Quarter 1 Member Expense Report was due December 1, 2024, and certified by the consortium no later than December 31, 2024. In addition, December 31st will be the last day members can spend 2022-23 funds.

The much awaited; Three-Year template is ready for download. It provides a high-level outline of the required sections for the Three-Year Plan, including fillable text boxes and checklists aligned with NOVA. CAEP consortia can use this document to prepare content for submission into NOVA, which serves as the official approved plan. | |
Technology and Digital Learning Symposium - Call for Proposals and Registration is Now Open! | |
Plans are underway for OTAN's Technology and Digital Learning Symposium 2025, scheduled for Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8. TDLS will be a hybrid event offering in-person and virtual sessions. The in-person event will be hosted by our friends at Long Beach School for Adults and online.
The Call for Proposals is open! You are invited to present and share your promising practices, strategies, lesson plans, and other resources related to technology integration and digital learning in your programs with your adult education colleagues. The Call for Proposals closes on Monday, December 2.
OTAN is looking for presentations that highlight technology, how it enhances the learner experience, extends the classroom to learners, and how technology integration helps adult education programs be more effective and efficient. If you would like more ideas on possible presentation topics, view last year's sessions on the TDLS Video Presentations page on the OTAN website.

2025 CAEAA 28th State Conference | |
The 28th Annual California Adult Education Administrators' Association State Conference will take place February 6-7, 2025, at the Sutter Club in Sacramento. Consortium Directors' Peer Learning Circle (PLC)
The Consortium Directors' Peer Learning Circles serve as a specialized forum for Consortium Leads, Co-Leads, Managers, and Directors. This platform offers a unique space to engage in discussions on challenges, queries, and distinctive scenarios frequently experienced by Consortium Leads, who often navigate the complexities of both the Community College noncredit system and the K12 system. It provides an invaluable opportunity for leads from across California to exchange ideas, find thought partners, and disseminate strategies and best practices, thereby fostering excellence throughout the state.

Additionally, the Canvas Course is a repository of consolidated resources for Consortium Leads/Directors. This platform aims to foster a robust networking environment, allowing for the seamless sharing of queries, resources, and insights on various scenarios among directors throughout the State.
