CALPRO’s facilitated online courses combine 

• the flexibility of asynchronous online course activities, 
• the engagement and expertise of live webinars and online course interactions with a course facilitator and guide, and 
• the connection and camaraderie of working through a course with other enrolled participants.

Merced County Adult Regional Occupational Program: Foundations in Early Education

Merced County faces significant economic challenges, including an 11.4% unemployment rate and an 18.8% poverty rate, creating barriers for families and learners seeking upward mobility. The Foundations in Early Education (FIEE) program directly addresses these systemic challenges by offering tuition-free, competency-based training that combines classroom instruction with hands-on practicum experiences in licensed early education settings. FIEE uniquely supports non-traditional and underrepresented populations through partnerships with local childcare centers, college credit opportunities, and alignment with California's Child Development Permit Matrix. Graduates emerge workforce-ready with industry-recognized credentials that enhance employability and earning potential while contributing to high-quality early learning environments in their community. 2026 ELL HEALTHCARE PATHWAYS CONVENING

Pathways with Purpose: Advancing ELL Healthcare Pathways Programs for Impact and Sustainability

Hosted by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and WestEd, this convening will showcase the impact of the work of ELL HP grantees, highlight progress toward addressing care provider shortages by growing a diverse and more culturally competent healthcare workforce, and share actionable practices to advance programs for impact and sustainability.

When: Thursday, September 17, 2026

Where: Hilton Irvine/Orange County Airport.

Who: ELL HP program leaders, administrators, instructors, counselors, navigators, staff, analysts, and more!

Participants will engage with effective strategies, learn from peer experiences, and collaborate on approaches to grow, strengthen, and sustain their programs.
